These SHIMANA Dial Durometers provides the good accuracy for a dial model gage at minimum price and are sold and shipped from our Brampton (Great Toronto Area), Ontario, Canada warehouse. It can be used either with a test stand or hand-held for accurate hardness measurements of the indentation hardness of various plastic, elastomers , soft and hard rubber samples or various foam and sponge.
These analog durometers offer easier handling and maximum repeatability. Light and weight, with small dial face (only 2 inches diameter) and with a compact design, the SHIMANA Dial Durometers easily fits into hard to reach areas.
The durometer comes with reference block, to adjust the gauge for more accurate readings. The Shimana SHWSDR series of durometers have three models available, based on penetration:
Shore A durometer
for testing various rubber, elastomers and plastic products.
Shore C durometer
designed for testing the hardness of various foam, sponge and so on.
Shore D durometer
for testing the hardness of various hard rubber, colophony, glass, printed board, fiber, and so on.
SHIMANA DEADWEIGHT TEST STAND FOR DUROMETER
These durometers can be used with the Shimana hardness test stand (sold separately or as a kit with durometer) to eliminate the speed and weight variables in hardness measurement.
The Shimana Test Stand for Durometers was designed to provide the ASTM recommended forces for use in hardness measurements.
The mass is centered along the indenter axis, providing a consistent load each and every test.
Using test stand in your hardness applications, the hardness value is not depending on operator force: the lever is used only to release the weight to produce the ASTM recommended force.
The Shimana hardness test stand is the ideal tool for repetitive or lab-type testing for users who must test either very large specimens, or test in a number of different durometer scales.
